I am looking for bass, guitar and vocal teachers with professional
performing experience to join Bare Mic Music Studios in Coeur d' Alene. In
addition to traditional teaching methods, this is a unique facility that
encourages students to learn materials of all styles that can be performed
together with other students and teachers in a professional format.
Must be passionate about teaching and be willing to incorporate elements
of your own performing experience into the lessons. A portion of each
lesson should focus on the role of the instrument within a rhythm
section. Bare Mic Music Studios accepts all levels of students, from
children through adults.

Copius Notes, headed by lead singer, Mark Gilbert, of Gilbert Auto Group, will be performing and recording on the big island in December.

July 10, 2006 (COEUR D’ALENE, IDAHO) – North Idaho keyboardist, Barry Aiken, will be joining contemporary pop star, Gino Vannelli’s 2006 tour to promote his new album, “THESE ARE THE DAYS”. Barry will be playing tour dates in Edmonton, Alberta on July 23rd, Quebec City, Quebec on August 18th, Barrie, Ontario on August 19th, and some East coast dates leading up to an appearance on the CBS Early Show in New York City on October 7th. A fall European tour is also in the works.

After stints recording and performing from San Diego to Vancouver, BC, Barry has returned to his Idaho roots. Having the experience, and know-how, he has made a home, and raised a family with his wife, Kelli and son, Brandon, in suburbia, without missing a metro-step. His latest CD release, titled “Balboa Park” (available @ http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/barryaiken) has been play listed with international contemporary and mainstream jazz stations.

Barry worked with Gino Vannelli on arranging and recording the backing tracks for the live show in Vannelli’s Portland studio last December, which led to the tour opportunity. In addition to touring, this Canadian born composer/keyboardist is currently working on a new CD, with his recently formed band, NorthPoint and teaching piano and drums at his BareMic. Music Studios in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Barry will take time out of his own performing and teaching schedule to make the Vannelli tour dates.

Gino Vannelli, combines the realm of jazz and classical music, with pop and rock to create a sound that is truly his own. Seven of Gino's classic hits (Wild Horses, Hurts To Be In Love, Black Cars, Just A Motion Away, Living Inside Myself, I Just Wanna Stop and People Gotta Move) are included on his new album; along with several new hits in the making.
